Unfrozen has just unveiled an exciting new gameplay trailer for their upcoming strategy game, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era. This trailer showcases the game's core mechanics, diverse units, and engaging gameplay, giving fans a tantalizing glimpse of what to expect. In conjunction with the trailer release, Unfrozen has opened registration for the closed beta test of the "Arena" mode. Enthusiasts eager to dive into the action can request access through the game's Steam page, with the testing phase set to run from March 17 to March 28.

Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated to enter early access on Steam in the second quarter of 2025. At launch, players can look forward to exploring six distinct factions, engaging in three single-player modes, and battling it out in three multiplayer modes. Ubisoft will be at the helm of publishing this much-anticipated title, ensuring a polished and widely accessible release.

In a recent development update, Unfrozen introduced the Dungeon faction to the game, featuring a roster of intriguing units such as troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. Each unit brings its own unique dynamics to the battlefield, promising to add layers of strategic depth to the gameplay experience.

The team at Unfrozen openly discussed the challenges they encountered while developing the Arena mode, particularly in balancing skills and heroes within the constraints of limited space and no starting advantages. Despite these hurdles, the developers managed to overcome these issues, ensuring that the Arena mode will offer a smooth and engaging experience for all players.

While Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is expected to launch on PC later this year, an exact release date has not yet been announced. The game is being crafted to appeal to both long-time fans of the series and newcomers, promising a rich and immersive strategy experience for all.
