HP Omen 32" 4K OLED Gaming Monitor: $400 Off!

By AudreyMar 13,2025

HP's flagship Omen Transcend 32" 4K QD OLED gaming monitor, initially unveiled at CES 2024, finally launched in December. This extended wait allowed HP to incorporate several practical features not found in comparable monitors. It's one of the few displays combining a sharp 3840x2160 native resolution with an OLED panel in a generous 32" size. If you're searching for a top-tier 4K gaming monitor, this deserves serious consideration.

The HP Omen Transcend utilizes Samsung's QD OLED panel technology, boasting higher brightness than traditional OLEDs while retaining near-infinite response times, contrast ratios, and deep blacks. It's HDR True Black 400 certified, covers 99.3% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and is factory calibrated. Gamers will appreciate the 240Hz refresh rate and G-Sync compatibility. It even features built-in speakers "tuned by HyperX," optimized for gaming and entertainment.

Connectivity includes HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1 (compatible with upcoming GeForce 5000 series GPUs), plus a USB-C port with 140W Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alternate Mode for single-cable laptop connection.

Keep in mind that 4K gaming demands a powerful GPU. 4K's 2.25 times higher pixel count than QHD necessitates a high-end system. For smooth 4K gameplay at up to 240fps, an RTX 4070 is a minimum requirement. An RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4090, or RX 7900XTX would be ideal complements.

HP provides a three-year warranty.

Available since early 2024, the Alienware AW3225QF is a strong competitor to the HP Omen Transcend. This is Alienware's top high-end gaming monitor offering, and one I personally use and recommend. Currently discounted to $899.99, representing a $300 saving. While the HP Omen Transcend offers newer features, Alienware provides a superior warranty including burn-in protection.
