Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his work in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and countless other titles, was found critically ill in his hotel room last week. His family is now seeking support from fans to help cover mounting medical expenses and living costs while he recovers.
According to a GoFundMe page established by his wife, Kim, and family, Johnson was found unconscious and barely alive after failing to appear at a benefit event he was scheduled to host for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd. His wife was unable to reach him, prompting hotel security to intervene and discover him in a life-threatening condition. Emergency responders struggled to find a pulse.
The GoFundMe campaign, initially set with a goal of $50,000, has already surpassed its target significantly, raising over $144,791 from nearly 2,200 generous donors.
Beyond his extensive video game credits, which include memorable roles as Ron Hope in Starfield, Sheogorath in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, Johnson has also served as the public address announcer for the Washington Capitals for 25 years and boasts a diverse career in film and television.
