How to Join the *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* Public Test Server
Important Note: The public test server is currently PC only. It's not available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Accessing the server is straightforward for PC players. Simply open your Steam library, locate Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and you'll find the public test server listed separately below the main game. You must own the main game on Steam to access the test server. Once located, download and install—it's a separate download from the main game.
What's Included in the *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* Public Test Server?
The public test server features new PvE and PvP content, including new weapons, customization options, and map additions. The majority of changes are in PvE, with a brand-new map, relaxed class restrictions on some weapons, and modified online gameplay features. Remember, this content is a work in progress and subject to change before official release.
Online gameplay improvements include enhanced matchmaking for both PvE and PvP, focusing on balanced teams. The PvE matchmaking aims to prevent players from selecting the same class, while also introducing a prestige leveling system. PvP offers expanded lobby customization options.
Finally, please note: mods from the main game will not work on the test server. Content created within the test server will not transfer to the main game. There's currently no confirmation on whether progression will carry over.
