Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Shows No Sign of Slowing Down, Sells 2 Million Copies in Less Than 2 Weeks

By LilyMar 04,2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's phenomenal success continues, surpassing 2 million copies sold in under two weeks!

Warhorse Studios, the developer, celebrated this achievement on Twitter, echoing their earlier triumph when the game hit the 1 million mark just one day after its February 4th release across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

This remarkable feat showcases the sequel's popularity. Steam alone saw over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak, significantly exceeding the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. The actual peak player count is likely even higher, considering console players, whose numbers remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer Group, Warhorse Studios' parent company, highlighted Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's strong performance, praising both player and critical reception. CEO Lars Wingefors emphasized the game's projected continued success, citing its high quality and immersive gameplay. He also confirmed a robust roadmap of updates and content planned for the next year.

The post-launch roadmap includes three expansions slated for 2025. Free updates arriving this spring will introduce features like a barber shop, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer will see the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," focusing on protagonist Henry's assistance to a mysterious artist. Autumn brings "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's adoptive father's past. Finally, winter concludes with "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
