Activists are targeting Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.
This led to an onslaught of attacks against the developers on social media, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to these claims, urging the public to trust the developers and not believe everything found online.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's achievement of gold status in early December. These codes are anticipated to be sent four weeks prior to release, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are expected to appear just a week later.
