Korean Sims-Like 'inZOI' Delayed to March 2025

By CarterFeb 10,2025

Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, has been pushed back to March 28, 2025, to ensure a robust and polished launch. This decision, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes delivering a complete and satisfying player experience.

The delay, Kjun explained, is partly a response to overwhelmingly positive feedback from character creator demos and playtests. The team recognized the significance of player input and the responsibility to meet player expectations. He likened the development process to raising a child, emphasizing the time needed to nurture the game to its full potential.

"After reviewing your feedback from inZOI… we have made our decision to release inZOI in Early Access on March 28, 2025," stated Kjun. "We apologize that we could not bring you the game sooner, but this decision reflects our commitment to giving inZOI the best possible start."

The postponement, while potentially frustrating for eager players, reflects Krafton's dedication to quality. The game's character creator alone attracted a peak of 18,657 concurrent players during its brief availability on Steam before its removal on August 25, 2024. This demonstrates significant player interest and underscores Krafton's desire to avoid releasing an unfinished product, especially in light of the recent cancellation of Life By You. This delay, however, places inZOI in direct competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release.

inZOI, initially unveiled in Korea in 2023, aims to be a leading contender in the life simulation genre, promising unparalleled customization and realistic visuals. Krafton's commitment to a polished launch suggests a game designed for extensive, long-term engagement. From managing character stress to virtual karaoke nights, inZOI strives to carve its own niche within the life simulation landscape. The wait until March 2025 will undoubtedly test the patience of fans, but Krafton assures it will be worth the anticipation.
