Mortal Kombat 1 showed an in-game image of T-1000 and showed details of Pro Tour

Let's be honest: Mortal Kombat 1 is struggling. Season 3 content appears canceled due to underwhelming sales, and the recently released Pro Kompetition trailer, promoting the game's esports circuit, is underwhelming at best.

The 2025 Pro Kompetition boasts a total prize pool of $255,000. This is a relatively small amount, even within the fighting game community (FGC). Many top players have previously voiced concerns about insufficient prize money, making international travel for potentially meager earnings unsustainable.

The 2025 competitive scene will likely see a regional split, with North American and European players primarily competing in their respective regions, converging only at EVO 2025, considered the premier fighting game tournament.

While there's a visible attempt to generate excitement, and the teased in-game image of the T-1000 is intriguing, the overall picture remains concerning.
