Catching Nickit in Pokémon GO
There are several ways to catch Nickit during the Deep Depths event:
Wild Encounters: Nickit appears as an uncommon wild Pokémon. Keep an eye on your in-game radar (bottom right) to locate it.
7km Eggs: Nickit hatches from 7km Eggs. Bonus: Egg hatch distances are halved during the event!
Field Research: Complete the "Defeat two Team Go Rocket Grunts" Field Research task to encounter Nickit.
Premium Timed Research: The Deep Depths Premium Timed Research ticket ($1.99) guarantees two Nickit encounters; one after defeating a Team Go Rocket Grunt, and another upon completing all research tasks.
Evolving Nickit into Thievul in Pokémon GO
You won't find Thievul in the wild. To evolve your Nickit, collect 50 Nickit Candy. Use Pinap Berries to double your candy yield from each successful catch. Setting a nearby Pokémon alert in your Pokédex will also help you track down wild Nickit.
Deep Depths Event Duration
The Deep Depths event runs from March 19th to March 24th, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time. Make the most of the weekend to catch Nickit and evolve it into Thievul! Use Incense to boost your encounter rate.
