Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.
The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a rain-soaked cyberpunk city. This installment introduces innovative mechanics, including swift traversal via wires and rails, as demonstrated in the gameplay footage. Players will battle hordes of genetically-modified soldiers and grotesque otherworldly beings in their quest to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Adding to the excitement, a major remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 was also announced. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (and included in Game Pass), this UE5-powered remaster boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments. Furthermore, it incorporates elements from later games in the series, including three additional playable characters.
Koei Tecmo's extensive work on both Ninja Gaiden 4 and the Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster deserves significant praise and community attention.
