Speculation about the Nintendo Switch 2 has shifted from the console itself to the size of its game cases, following a potential leak from a French retailer.
Nintendo Life reported that journalist Felipe Lima discovered a listing for a Take-Two Interactive game on Fnac, a French retailer, which included dimensions. These dimensions suggest the Switch 2 game cases will be slightly larger than those of the original Switch.
A Reddit user, HertzBurst, created a visual comparison showing the purported size difference. The leaked dimensions are approximately 5.1 inches (13 cm) by 7.7 inches (19.5 cm).

While larger than the current Switch cases, they remain smaller than those used for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 games. Although unconfirmed, it's plausible retailers would receive case dimensions early to prepare for stock and display purposes.
A release window for the Nintendo Switch 2 remains unannounced by Nintendo, but speculation points towards a June-September timeframe. This is based on hands-on events scheduled until June and a statement from Nacon, the publisher of Greedfall 2, suggesting a pre-September launch.
The Nintendo Switch 2 was initially revealed in January with a short trailer highlighting backward compatibility and a second USB-C port. Many details, including the function of a new Joy-Con button, remain undisclosed, though various theories are circulating.
