Pizza Tower and Castlevania Dominus Collection Released, Plus More Today

The Partner/Indie World Showcase Had Plenty to Offer

The decision to combine two smaller Direct-style events into one was a smart move, resulting in a flood of game announcements. While I can't cover everything here, some standout reveals included shadow drops we'll discuss in the New Releases section, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, remakes of Suikoden I & II, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, and new entries in the Atelier and Rune Factory series. Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

The latest Castlevania collection, shadow-dropped during the Direct, includes the three beloved Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also features the arcade game Haunted Castle and a revamped version by M2, which significantly improves upon the original. As expected from M2, the emulation is top-notch, and the collection is packed with all the features fans could want. At this price, it's an incredible deal.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer made a surprise appearance on the Switch. Navigate through the five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to destroy it and save your restaurant. If you're nostalgic for Wario's handheld adventures, this game is a must-have. Even if you're not a Wario fan, the fast-paced platforming is worth checking out. Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

Another shadow drop, Goat Simulator 3 continues the series' tradition of chaotic fun. While I can't confirm its performance on the Switch, it's known to challenge more powerful consoles. Keep this in mind, but remember, the game's quirky nature might just make any technical hiccups part of the charm. It's all about silly goats causing mayhem in an open world.

Peglin ($19.99)

For those missing Peggle on the Switch, Peglin is a fantastic alternative. This game blends Peggle's addictive gameplay with a turn-based RPG roguelite format. It's been a hit on mobile, and now Switch players can enjoy it too. We'll have a review coming soon for those who want more details.

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft's tried-and-true simulation formula gets a fresh twist with the Doraemon license. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story is a charming shop sim featuring characters from the beloved manga and anime series. The game does justice to the license, with some fun cameos from other works by the manga artist. It's a delightful addition to the Kairosoft lineup.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

Pico Park fans, rejoice! Pico Park 2 offers more of the cooperative puzzle-solving fun that made the original a hit. With up to eight players in local or online multiplayer, the more, the merrier. While it may not draw in new players, it's a solid sequel for those who loved the first game.

This budget-friendly rhythm game features music from Kamitsubaki Studio. It's simple but enjoyable, offering a good value for the price. Hit the notes, follow the story, and enjoy the tunes.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin twist, SokoPenguin offers 100 levels of crate-pushing fun. It's straightforward and fun, perfect for puzzle enthusiasts.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)
