A few thousand players will be able to test new Battlefield features

By OliviaMar 03,2025

EA unveils Battlefield Labs, a closed beta testing program for upcoming Battlefield titles. This internal testing initiative offers select players a sneak peek at core mechanics and gameplay concepts still under development. Note that not all features tested will necessarily appear in the final game.

Participants will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before accessing the pre-alpha build. Initial testing will focus on Conquest and Breakthrough modes, prioritizing combat and destruction system evaluation, followed by balance adjustments.

Pre-registration is open for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Several thousand players will receive invitations in the coming weeks, with plans for broader regional expansion later.

The developers confirm the game has reached a crucial development phase. While a release date remains unannounced, four studios—DICE, Motive, Criterion Games, and Ripple Effect—are collaborating on the project.
