Hearthstone's Year of the Raptor: A 2025 Roadmap of New Content and Features

Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting updates, including new gameplay mechanics, features, and a fresh batch of expansions, mini-sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The overwhelmingly positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft mini-set has clearly fueled Blizzard's commitment to keeping the game engaging throughout the year. A recently released roadmap offers a sneak peek at what's to come.

What's in Store for the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this update promises a revitalized Arena experience for both veteran and new players.

Cosmetics are also receiving a significant upgrade. Expect new Mythic skins and Signature cards, along with a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will integrate into a new cosmetic acquisition system, though the specifics remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion. Card reveals start next week, but players can already participate in in-game events to earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic new game board will launch alongside the expansion, remaining a staple throughout the Year of the Raptor. Expect visual and audio enhancements with each subsequent expansion.

The Core Set will also undergo a refresh, featuring the return of some classic cards (with adjustments) and the introduction of new cards.
