The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege announcements, and this year was no exception. A key highlight was the reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. The shield features a trigger mechanism that can be activated by either team, but with a crucial difference: attackers open it in one second, while defenders face a three-second delay. This time difference could prove decisive, especially in defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora introduces the Reaper MK2, a new fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and a high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the Rainbow Six Siege test servers next week, with a later release date for the live game.
