Where to Find Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, certain side tasks can be easily overlooked, leading to missed opportunities. One such task is finding Rosa's book, which is crucial for both completing the quest and potentially romancing Rosa. To unlock the Rosa's Book side quest, you first need to complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." After helping the Ruthard family resolve their issues with Vavak, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans, and she'll also ask you to retrieve a book for her. Make sure to ask Rosa about the specifics of the book and promise to bring it back to her to officially start the "Rosa's Book" quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." If you leave Maleshov with Hans without securing the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is located along your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located. Use the side stairs to enter the building. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a kitchen nearby. Wait in the kitchen until the guards finish their conversation and leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is sitting by the fireplace. You can quietly approach her from behind and knock her out. Collect the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and a sword from the chest in her room. Rosa's book is also in this room, positioned to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick up the red book to update your objective to return it to Rosa.

While in the vicinity, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the items, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may be reluctant to use the passageway, you can advance your romantic prospects with him by selecting the heart dialogue option, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Then, sneak to the north side stables of Maleshov, neutralizing any guards along the way. Once you've cleared a safe path, signal Hans and ensure he reaches the stables without incident.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, concluding the quest. After the scene ends, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
