Rust Unveils Major Update with Improved Cooking and Farming

Rust, the renowned multiplayer survival game, has just released a significant update known as The Crafting Update. This patch introduces a variety of new features designed to enhance players' creative capabilities and enrich their gameplay experience. One of the standout additions is the culinary workbench, where players can now cook dishes like grilled chicken legs and enjoy them with a shot of Siberian vodka. Crafting these meals involves following specific recipes, and consuming well-prepared food grants stat boosts and gameplay modifiers, adding a strategic layer to survival.

The update also introduces chicken coops, allowing players to raise chickens and chicks. These birds require careful attention to four key attributes: Hunger, Thirst, Love, and Sunlight. Failing to meet any of these needs can lead to the birds' demise. Chicken meat, once obtained, will spoil over time unless stored in a working refrigerator. To help manage food resources, the game now includes timers on food items to indicate their expiration dates.

For those with a penchant for sweets, the update adds wild beehives that can be found on trees. Players must extract honeycombs with care and relocate them to player-crafted hives made from wooden boxes. Handling bees can be dangerous, so protective suits, water dousing, or even flamethrowers are necessary to avoid stings. A new weapon, the Bee Grenade, adds an exciting twist to combat. This grenade, resembling a jar of honey, shatters to release three swarms of aggressive bees, compelling players to scatter for safety.

The engineering workbench has undergone a complete redesign, now featuring a dedicated tech tree for plumbing and electricity. This allows players to construct automated systems and even entire factories, opening up new possibilities for base building and resource management. Additionally, the developers have introduced premium servers, which are exclusive to players whose Rust inventory is valued at a minimum of $15. This initiative aims to create a more enjoyable environment by filtering out cheaters and disruptive players, ensuring a smoother experience for dedicated gamers.
