Diving into the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.* can be a thrilling experience as you and up to five friends navigate through eerie maps to retrieve valuable items. However, losing your progress can be a nightmare. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to ensure your hard work in *R.E.P.O.* is safely saved.
How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.
Nothing is more disheartening than returning to your game, eager to continue from where you left off, only to find that your progress hasn't been saved. This issue is particularly common with new games, where autosave features might not be as straightforward, or where you need to reach specific checkpoints before saving.
In *R.E.P.O.*, it's crucial to understand that the game only autosaves upon completing a level. There isn't a manual save feature, so if you exit during a retrieval mission or die (sending you to the Disposal Arena), your progress will be lost, and you'll have to restart from the beginning of that level.
To save your game, you must successfully complete a level by delivering your collected valuables to the Extraction Point. Then, find your way to the truck and press the message button above your head to signal the Taxman, your AI boss, that it's time to head to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop and prepare for the next level. Use the same button to proceed to your next mission.

After leaving the Service Station, you'll arrive at the next location. It's at this point that it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if another player created the original save file) restarts *R.E.P.O.*, you can pick up right where you left off. Remember, if you're playing in a hosted game, the host must exit at the right time to ensure the game saves correctly, after which all other players will be disconnected.
