Heads up: If you're a fan of Spotify, you might be facing some challenges this morning. According to IGN's sister site, Downdetector, reports of Spotify outages started pouring in around 6 a.m. PT today. We at IGN experienced the issue firsthand, struggling to access the service for much of the morning. Even when we managed to open the app, it refused to play our favorite tunes.
Spotify has officially acknowledged the problem and is actively working on a solution. In a statement, they assured users that they are doing everything they can to get the service back up and running as quickly as possible. Additionally, Spotify debunked rumors circulating about the outage being caused by a security hack, confirming that this is not the case.
