Top Spring 2025 Anime Recommendations

In my selection of standout series for Spring 2025, I've highlighted The Apothecary Diaries, Once Upon A Witch’s Death, The Beginning After The End, To Be Hero X, and WITCH WATCH. Here are some additional recommendations from the list above that you should consider adding to your watchlist.

Devil May Cry is the latest animated venture from Netflix, adapting the popular video game franchise. The trailer, accompanied by Limp Bizkit and Evanescence, promises a thrilling and edgy experience. With the successful track record of creator Adi Shankar and the talented Studio Mir, this series is set to captivate fans of action-packed anime like Trigun, regardless of their familiarity with the game.

Moonrise offers a unique premise with the moon striving for independence, a concept that could have been a blockbuster sequel to Moonfall. With WIT Studio's animation, character designs by Hiromu Arakawa, and direction by Masashi Koizuka, this original net animation (ONA) is shrouded in mystery, hinting at a potentially groundbreaking storyline.

Lastly, YAIBA: Samurai Legends is a revival of the beloved manga by Gosho Aoyama. This samurai comedy follows Yaiba Kurogane in his quest against a formidable foe. With WIT Studio at the helm and Aoyama's direct involvement, fans of Detective Conan and the humor of early Dragon Ball will find this series particularly enjoyable.
