Talk to Professor Lodochka at Wild Island
Proceed to the mission marker on Wild Island to locate Professor Lodochka at Quite's Camp. However, priority shifts to eliminating mercenaries in the area, conveniently marked on your map. Prepare for a fight; these aren't the only enemies you'll encounter. Eliminating them reveals Lodochka's location and unlocks an optional objective: activating the ventilation system.
Activate the Ventilation System
Consult your map to find a fuse. After retrieving it, another marker appears north, leading to the engineering rooms. Beware an invisible enemy within. Reach the engine room, use the fuse to restore power to the ventilation system, and continue the mission. While this optional objective doesn't offer unique rewards, it simplifies the mission's later stages.
Find the Signal Source
Consider acquiring better weaponry before proceeding; the next stage presents challenges. Locate the cave entrance near the water. Navigate westward through the caverns, descending and overcoming obstacles. A broken pipe provides access to higher cave levels.
Reach the large cone-shaped spire to find the emitter at the marked point. An invisible enemy awaits on your return journey. Finally, report back to Professor Lodochka to complete the mission and unlock "Hornet's Nest."
