Capcom Pro Tour is taking a breather, as the final 48 competitors for Capcom Cup 11 have been determined. Instead of focusing on the players themselves, let's examine the character choices of this elite group.
Following the conclusion of the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest level of competition. This data offers a valuable insight into the game's current balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, though from nearly two hundred players (across eight finalists from 24 regions), only one chose Ryu. Even the newest addition, Terry Bogard, was selected by only two players.
Currently dominating the professional scene are Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison, each favored by 17 players. A significant gap separates this top tier from the next, which includes Akuma (12 players), Ed and Luke (11 each), and JP and Chun-Li (10 each). Among the less frequently chosen characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each selected as a main by seven players.
Capcom Cup 11 will be held this March in Tokyo, with the champion taking home a million-dollar prize.
