Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty

Activision has revealed a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time the Turtles have graced an Activision title.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (described only as "soon") remain scarce, the CODWarfareForum website has offered some unverified details. These suggest the addition of operator skins for all four main Turtles (though notably absent are April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder). New melee weapons – a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and bo staff – are also rumored, aligning with the Turtles' fighting styles. The Grind map, a skatepark, is speculated to be the central location for the crossover events.

Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted, not due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's struggles with bugs and rampant cheating have significantly diminished its player base, leading to a sense that this crossover is a last-ditch effort during a period of crisis, with its ultimate success uncertain.
