Since the Genetic Apex era of *Pokemon TCG Pocket*, Meltan and Melmetal, along with other Metal-type Pokemon, have faced challenges. They had a slight revival during Mythical Island, but with Dialga Ex's introduction, this archetype has the potential to become a competitive force.

Dialga Ex brings much-needed consistency to this deck. Its Metallic Turbo ability lets you attach two Metal Energies to your Benched Pokemon, speeding up your Melmetal setup.

The inclusion of Mew Ex and Tauros as counters also benefits from Metallic Turbo. Mew Ex's Genome Hacking and Tauros both require only Colorless Energy, allowing for quicker setup while you're attacking with Dialga Ex.

While I personally favor Yanmega Ex in a Grass-type deck alongside Exeggutor Ex, it pairs surprisingly well with Dialga Ex, especially due to its Colorless Energy requirement. Yanmega Ex's Air Slash deals 120 damage, enough to take out many opponents in one hit, though it requires discarding an Energy. Fortunately, Dialga Ex's Metallic Turbo can quickly replenish this.

Dialga Ex is versatile enough to fit into nearly any Colorless deck, thanks to Metallic Turbo. Although Yanmega Ex might be its best partner, experimenting with other strong Colorless decks like Pidgeot or Pidgeot Ex could be rewarding.
