Tarot Cards in Phasmophobia represent a high-risk, high-reward proposition. This guide details their usage and effects.

Strategic Use: Due to the inherent risks, utilizing Tarot Cards in a safe zone (near a hiding spot or entrance) is recommended. This allows for a quicker escape should an unfavorable card, such as Death, be drawn.

Card Mechanics: Each card triggers an immediate effect. However, The Fool card (a wildcard) produces no effect. A maximum of 10 cards can be drawn without impacting sanity. Duplicate cards yield identical effects.

Card Effects: The game features 10 unique Tarot Cards, each with specific effects and draw probabilities:

Cursed Possessions offer gameplay shortcuts but introduce significant risks. They spawn randomly on maps (depending on difficulty and game mode). Only one spawns per contract (unless modified in Custom settings), always in a predetermined location. Seven Cursed Possessions exist: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle. Using them is optional; no penalties exist for avoidance.

This concludes the guide on utilizing Tarot Cards in Phasmophobia. Consult The Escapist for further game guides and news.
