Methods for Acquiring Paradisan Ladder:
There are five primary methods to obtain Paradisan Ladder: purchasing from a merchant, foraging, completing side quests, breaking down items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.
1. Merylin the Merchant:
Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers a quick and reliable source of Paradisan Ladder. She typically stocks five units at 150 coins each. Additionally, she sells items (Many-Hued Doublet and Common Grimoire of Elements) that can be broken down for additional Paradisan Ladder (two units each). Note that her inventory doesn't respawn.
2. Foraging:
Explore the game's world! Paradisan Ladder plants are marked on your mini-map with a distinct plant icon (red circle in image above). While other plants may look similar, actively searching will steadily increase your supply.
3. Side Quests:
Completing side quests often rewards crafting materials, including Paradisan Ladder. The early quest "Escape Plan," for instance, provides two units. While this requires additional effort, it offers XP and other benefits alongside the herb.
4. Breaking Down Items:
Disassemble higher-tier items previously upgraded with Paradisan Ladder to recover some of the herb. Check merchant inventories for unique items with Paradisan Ladder listed in their breakdown components.
5. Downgrading Hylea's Talon:
Once you reach Emerald Stair and acquire Hylea's Talon, you can downgrade each unit into three Paradisan Ladder at your party camp workbench. This is useful for switching weapon types or quickly upgrading weaker equipment.
