Nightmare Crownless is a formidable new Nightmare version of the Overlord-class Echoes in Wuthering Waves. This variant stands out with its bonus Havoc DMG and Basic Attack DMG, making it a top choice for specific characters looking to boost their combat prowess.

Like other Nightmare Echoes, Nightmare Crownless can be obtained from its designated overworld spawn point. However, before you can challenge this spear-wielding adversary, you must first complete the Ruins Where Shadows Roam quest and an additional step. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock Nightmare Crownless.

Ruins Where Shadows Roam Quest Guide

The Ruins Where Shadows Roam quest in Wuthering Waves is unique as it's not initiated by an NPC or an interactable object. Instead, you'll find it listed in the Exploration Progress menu for the Penitent's End region in Rinascita. To access this, open your map and click on the compass icon located in the upper-left corner, next to your current location's name.

This quest is closely linked with the optional Quest of Faith, which requires you to defeat four enemies in designated areas within Penitent's End. Start by heading to the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent. Interact with the prompt near the circular arena by the beacon to initiate a battle against a Questless Knight, reminiscent of those encountered in the Silver Moon? Crimson Moon? quest.

To successfully defeat these knights, you must lure them close to a lit Macabre Torch within the arena. These torches can be reignited by tricking Fae Ignis enemies into striking them. Be cautious not to use powerful skills near the torches, as they might be extinguished.

How to Unlock Nightmare Crownless in WuWa

After successfully completing both the Ruins Where Shadows Roam and Quest of Faith, your next task is to locate all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End. While completing these challenges isn't mandatory for unlocking Nightmare Crownless, doing so will reward you with additional resources and Monnaie in WuWa. The locations of these Dream Patrols are marked in the image above. Once you've found all the patrols, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map, located in the ruins north of Penitent's End.

It's important to remember that Nightmare Echoes require Enhanced Absorption charges, which boost the drop rate of Echoes. Players are allocated only 15 of these charges weekly, so it's wise to use them strategically if you're aiming to enhance multiple characters.
