World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery culminates with its seventh and final phase, launching January 28th. This highly anticipated update introduces the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and the challenging Scourge Invasions event. Guilds will then face the legendary Naxxramas raid beginning February 6th, featuring a new "Empower" difficulty mode for seasoned players.
Phase 7 arrives just two months after Phase 6's Silithus content, including the Scepter of the Shifting Sands questline and Ahn'qiraj raids. The mysterious Shadowy Figure, seen in Ahn'qiraj, remains an enigma, with speculation linking it to Xal'atath. Whether this figure reappears in Phase 7 remains to be seen.
The January 28th launch will follow scheduled server maintenance. Players can immediately explore the Karazhan Crypts, a 5-player dungeon beneath the iconic Karazhan tower. Simultaneously, the Scourge Invasion will unleash undead hordes across Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, offering new quests at Light's Hope Chapel and Necrotic Runes to exchange for consumables.
Further enriching Phase 7, Rune Brokers in starting zones and capital cities will offer new runes. Naxxramas, opening February 6th, mirrors Ahn'qiraj with its "Empower" difficulty, adding layers of complexity. Conquering Naxxramas' four wings unlocks access to the Frostwyrm Lair and its final bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
While Season of Discovery concludes with Phase 7, World of Warcraft Classic's future remains bright, promising a busy 2025 across all game versions. Blizzard's long-term plans for seasonal realms are yet to be revealed.
