Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 DRM or Denuvo Requirements?

In a recent FAQ, Saber Interactive clarified several key aspects of the upcoming game, launching September 9th. The absence of DRM is a significant point, addressing player concerns about performance impacts often associated with such software. While DRM aims to combat piracy, its implementation has sometimes led to game-breaking issues, such as incompatibility with certain hardware or modding limitations.

While the game will be DRM-free, Saber Interactive has confirmed the use of Easy Anti-Cheat software on PC. The efficacy and impact of Easy Anti-Cheat have been subjects of discussion within the gaming community following past incidents.

The developers have also stated that there are currently no plans for official mod support. This might be disappointing news for some, however, the game will still offer a robust experience with features including a PvP arena mode, horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. Importantly, Saber Interactive has assured players that all gameplay content will be accessible to everyone, with microtransactions and paid DLC restricted solely to cosmetic items.
