The element of randomness has always been a core part of The Battle of Polytopia, with its diverse enemies, resources, and maps keeping players on their toes. However, the latest free update introduces a more structured form of competition.
Each week, players will tackle the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions, leveling the playing field. The challenge? To achieve the highest score possible within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, allowing for a maximum of seven tries each week.
One of the coolest aspects of this feature is the ability to play as tribes you might not yet own. With a total of 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve available for purchase at $1-4 each—Weekly Challenges give everyone a chance to experience all tribes, regardless of ownership.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, and here's why. The new Weekly Challenges also introduce a League system, where everyone starts in the Entry League. Your performance each week determines whether you move up or down the ranks. The top third of players ascend to the next league, the bottom third drop down, and the middle group remains in place.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty ramps up. Starting with Easy AI in the Entry League, you'll eventually face Crazy difficulty bots by the time you hit the Gold League. And if you miss a week, you won't be demoted, but your ranking will shift based on how others perform.
