The Last Knight is a captivating side quest that adds depth to the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main quest line or the expansive exploration quests, it offers a refreshing look into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a rewarding array of in-game benefits.

Compared to more complex quests like Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms in WuWa, The Last Knight is relatively straightforward and less time-consuming, making it an excellent choice for players seeking a quick yet engaging experience. Below is a comprehensive walkthrough to guide you through this quest.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2, including the quest What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing. We highly recommend completing the main storyline before diving into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are locked until you finish Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the necessary quests, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house along the main road exiting the town. You can easily spot him by the blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries are performances dedicated to a legendary knight who vanquished a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll participate in the performance by confronting the Mad Knight, among other tasks.

The Mad Knight only appears during nighttime hours, from 18:00 to 06:00 the next day. Adjust the in-game time accordingly, then head to the central pool in town to face this foe. While not particularly challenging, bring your best attacks to swiftly defeat the Mad Knight.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

Following your victory over the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to find Carlow, who will be unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a different instance where you must identify the mimic chest among others.

The first three supply chests are genuine. In the subsequent set, only one chest is real—the second chest in the middle-left position. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items, but be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After recovering from the purple flower's effects, you'll be tasked with visiting the second and third locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This part of the quest involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent nearby. Follow the quest marker uphill to confront a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Equip a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to effectively parry and stun the Chop Chop.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth, and it was he and other Windmill Keepers who protected the town under the guise of knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during daylight hours and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him being taunted by a pair of knights. Instead of retreating, Carlow vows to protect and challenges one of the knights to a duel, shedding his idealized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of a protector.

The quest concludes with Carlow's duel challenge, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event, providing a satisfying and enriching chapter in your Wuthering Waves journey.
