Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup Expands with Exciting New Titles

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat! January 2025 is shaping up to be a strong month for the service, particularly in the latter half. While the first half saw some title shifts rather than significant additions, the second half delivers a wave of fresh games.

Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a day-one release on January 21st, kicks off the excitement. This co-op and PvP skiing game will initially be exclusive to Ultimate subscribers.

The initial January 2025 Game Pass announcements were met with some disappointment due to a perceived lack of new titles. However, a second wave of additions is now confirmed, bolstering the lineup considerably.

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, three more day-one titles are joining the service:

  • Eternal Strands (January 28th): This action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, boasts a distinct Zelda-esque feel.
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th): A tactical shooter promising intense gameplay.
  • Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st): The sequel to the critically acclaimed RPG.

These day-one additions, alongside other January releases like Diablo (PC Game Pass) and EA Sports UFC 5 (Ultimate), make January 2025 a much more compelling month for Game Pass subscribers than initially anticipated.

Here's a summary of the January 2025 Game Pass additions:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

While February 2025 currently looks less robust, with Avowed (Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) confirmed for February 18th, the strong January lineup offers plenty to keep Ultimate subscribers entertained.
