On January 18, the shooter welcomed four new heroes to the fray, and shortly thereafter, the developers rolled out some crucial balance adjustments. Holliday's Crackshot ability now triggers on units and uses half its cooldown when doing so, enhancing its strategic value. Meanwhile, Calico's Ava ability has been upgraded to destroy objects she runs through, adding a new layer of gameplay dynamics.
The patch didn't ignore the older heroes either. Kelvin saw a health boost from 600 to 650, making him more durable in combat. Vendicta experienced a nerf with her bullet speed reduced from 810 to 740 and her movement speed dropped from nine to eight, aiming to balance her gameplay impact. In total, targeted changes were implemented for 11 heroes, including the freshly introduced ones, demonstrating Valve's dedication to fine-tuning the game's balance.
Deadlock remains in its closed beta phase, and despite this, it maintains a robust online player base, with numbers fluctuating between 7,000 and 20,000. This consistent engagement speaks volumes about the game's appeal and the community's anticipation for further developments.
