The inaugural game of the *Naruto: Path of the Ninja* series, *Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō*, was released in 2003 exclusively for the Bandai WonderSwan Color in Japan. This handheld console, launched in 1999, never saw an international release, much like the game itself. The final installment, *Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2*, was developed by Tomy and initially released in Japan in 2006, with a global release following in 2008 for the Nintendo DS.
