Prochek vs. Olbram: Decide Their Fate in Kingdom Come's Mice & Frogs

By MatthewFeb 20,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, early side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov offer a choice between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide clarifies whether you can help both and which choice is best.

Can You Help Both?

While Tachov and Zhelejov are at odds, cleverly navigating the "Mice" and "Frogs" quests allows completion of most tasks for both Prochek and Olbram. This reveals more backstory, though a fully favorable outcome for both isn't possible.

Prochek vs. Olbram: Which to Choose?

Ultimately, choosing between Prochek and Olbram is largely a matter of preference; there's no significant advantage to either. Both aim to sabotage the other, making the choice depend on personal enjoyment of the tasks.

Olbram's task involves a nighttime maypole theft, requiring stealth and potentially charm. Prochek's task involves painting Olbram's bull blue, requiring dye (from the tailor in Troskowitz) and a lullaby potion (requiring ingredients and potentially charming Radovan). Prochek's quest might be slightly more challenging early in the game, due to potential groschen or Speech skill requirements.

How to Start "Mice" (Prochek):

Speak to Prochek in Tachov (or the innkeeper if you can't find him).

  • Dye and Lullaby Potion: Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. Obtain the lullaby potion recipe from Radovan (either by working for him or charming him). Gather poppy and thistle from the apothecary garden in Troskowitz. Brew the potion, then use it on the bull in Zhelejov, paint the bull, and report back to Prochek.

How to Start "Frogs" (Olbram):

Find Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov. Agree to steal the Tachov maypole.

  • Steal the Maypole: Go to Tachov at night. You can knock out or charm Henrik, the guard. Charming him involves talking to him about Manka, arranging a date, informing Manka, and then returning to Henrik to allow the theft. Chop down the maypole and return to Olbram. He'll then task you with chasing sheep and delivering a potion to Alshik.

You can choose to complete Olbram's secondary task or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan, concluding both quests.
