Blizzard has unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming in-game housing system in World of Warcraft: Midnight. While the expansion's release is slated for after The War Within (part of the Worldsoul saga), early previews showcase a level of customization exceeding many players' expectations.
A recent developer blog post, complete with in-game videos, demonstrates the intuitive furniture placement system. Items snap to a grid for easy arrangement, and larger pieces like shelves and tables can be decorated with smaller accessories that remain attached when moved.
The system offers two modes: a Basic Mode for simpler organization and an Advanced Mode for more creative builders. Advanced Mode allows for rotation on all three axes and creative stacking, enabling the construction of complex and visually stunning interiors.

Gnomes can craft cozy spaces, while larger races like Tauren can design more expansive layouts. Select furniture pieces designed specifically for this system will support recoloring, though this may not be available for all existing assets.
With Midnight still months away, Blizzard continues to generate excitement by teasing upcoming content, keeping players engaged and eagerly anticipating future updates.
